We are excited to announce the release of our next seasonal saison, Winter Plowman’s Folly! This savory black farmhouse ale started with a rustic grain bill, featuring Belgian 2-Row, Spelt, and Aromatic Munich. A small amount of Dark Wheat, Dehusked Carafa III, and Dark Belgian Candi Sugar were added to darken the beer while adding a touch of roast. Czech Saaz hops compliment the wholegrain bread flavors of the malt, imparting a delicate earthy, herbal characteristic. Black Tellicherry Peppercorns were steeped after fermentation, further enhancing its spicy, savory flavors. After a primary fermentation with a Belgian Saison strain originating from the Wallonia Region of Belgium, we finished it with champagne yeast. Cheers!
